​​ In 2024, Legato Strategic Consulting was launched to provide the support we wished we had when we worked in higher education.
Before Legato, we started our careers in separate academic institutions. Along the way, our respective institutions introduced us to information systems and we loved the work, finding the process perfectly suited to our knack for persistent problem-solving and technical skill-sets. However, we grew frustrated over the seemingly avoidable pitfalls. Consequently, our individual journeys took us to consulting, which mirrored the same pitfalls. It was clear our higher education community needed something better.

We are independent, transparent, and institution-focused. We prioritize completing projects with excellence rather than billable hours. We still see ourselves as members of the higher education community, which drives our commitment to work alongside our institutional clients until the job is done.
